It’s funny because what Floyd said is true. Almost every single fight, there is a belt around someone’s waist and your thinking, ok, WTF is this belt for if it’s not a major known title fight, LOL!!!!

I’d beg to differ. There are way too many champs to keep track of. All of these alphabet organizations with their “WBA Gold,” WBC Diamond,” “WBC Franchise” and all of their other “regular” titles are primarily for collecting fees. The title of being a champ has become diluted because of all these belts.

Spence has 2 belts. Pac has 1 belt. Crawford has 1 belt. Jamal James has 1 belt. Ugas has 1 belt. 6 belts just in the 147 division. Totally ridiculous!!

Fighters deserve to be paid but theses belts weren't created to help them. It's for the promotors who can claim that they are putting on a championship fight to attract viewers. I think both guys are right. Fighters who aren't the top in their divisions deserve to be paid more than they have in the past but there are way too many belts and sanctioning bodies.

Spot on. The more belts..the more "sanctioning fees" the WBC/WBO/WBA/IBF can charge. And promoters can parade around promoting a "champ".
