Hughie is decent out seems to have found his level

He’s stepped up to fight guys most would consider 2nd tier heavyweights in the top 15 and fell short.

He’s probably fringe world level at best, judging on what we have seen.

The thing is that it’s not like he even got badly outclasses, stopped etc, he just seems to be unable to let his hands go when it’s time to bite down and leave it all in the ring. If he had thrown just a few more shots v Parker, he could’ve won a decision.

I don’t think he lacks talent. He just seems to lack a bit of grit and desire to win.

Do you have to win a world title to be classed as that? If so then absolutely not!

If it’s not getting completely outclassed by someone who is world level then maybe? Although his style I agree is awful, claims to box of the back foot but it could be argued he runs all fight.

How he won an gold in the world championships as an amateur is beyond me!
