I don't agree with any of this bs staged WWF travesty,but at least Tyson v Jones was between 2 legends, Floyd is a joke for pretending hes retired,hes merely found a new way to do what he does best,parting idiots of their money.(& I have always said floyd is an ATG legend)

Floyd, like him or not, wasn’t a huge ticket mover. He was honest about that, put a plan in place, changed how he marketed himself, and went on to become the #1 ppv seller in the sport.

To be mad at fans or Floyd for this rather than be upset with the way these new fighters are marketing themselves makes absolutely no sense.

The landscape has changed. Boxing doesn’t occupy the same place in the sports landscape it used to. The new generation can’t rely on the same old techniques and marketing strategies.

Answer me this then,why would Canelo adamantly say beforehand he couldn't make 152 without completely draining himself?Why did Floyd brag about intentionally weight draining him so he wouldn't train?(he even said he had spies in his camp & he knows Canelo was going to bed without eating,then he started taunting him with steak & lobster. When has Canelo ever looked so drained at a weigh in let alone the fight? (Floyd wouldn't have won anywhere nearly so easily imo had Canelo not been drained)(he still would've won but he wouldn't be lauded for it forever like he has been for schooling Canelo)

Bottom line is Floyd is pretending to be retired because hes scared of losing to non bums,look at Jones,Bhop etc. Who still kept fighting actual boxers til old age,floyd is taking the easy way out,he can literally fight anyone & it would still sell just as well.
