Danny Garcia is pretty much Julius Indongo

I don’t get why people believe they’re so far apart. Both have comparable resumes and results.

Let’s look at the times they won titles:

Garcia won the unified title at 140 by beating Amir Khan. Khan, as always, was up but got hit with one punch and went to sleep.

The title he brought into that fight was won over old man Erik Morales, multiple divisions above his weight. It was so competitive they had a rematch. The first fight was for a vacant title btw.

Garcia then won the vacant wbc welterweight title by beating Robert Guerrero... worth noting Guerrero, the natural lightweight, won a gift split decision in his previous fight over a 19-3-1 fighter who knocked Guerrero down in the fight and was clearly completely shot as he fell apart before and since that fight.

Julius Indongo won the IBF title by destroying an undefeated prime champion in one round.

He then unified by beating Ricky Burns by wide decision. Burns has one that title by beating a prime undefeated champion.

    That’s pretty comparable.

    Title fight losses:

    Indongo was outclassed by Crawford.

    Garcia was outclassed by Spence.

    Indongo was outclassed by Prograis

Garcia lost 8-4 type decisions to Porter and Thurman

    That’s pretty comparable.

What sets Danny Garcia apart is he has a promoter.

That means he has multiple wins over old men with names who are fighting way above the weight they should.

So while Indongo moved up in weight and got murdered by up a European amateur star who’s on a path to a title, Danny Garcia fought retired fat men.

We all know what would happen if Danny Garcia fought Erickson Lubin or Brian Castano, right? What about if Indongo fought Mickey Roman?

They’re basically the same thing. I think Garcia would beat Indongo because Indongo has been beaten to death now but they should be considered about the same thing.

You should go back to telling everyone how GGG vs Canelo double standards are unfair. Those convos were tasty! But Indongo? Show some respect... Swift never been dropped. He is a bonafide Philly fighter. Indongo vs Burns wasnt Jack shet

I like how you conveniently left out how Danny Garcia destroyed a prime Mathysse's career

        beat me to this.

They always like to leave out how Matthysse was supposed to destroy Danny yet Danny wiped the floor with him.

But that is more to do with how overhyped and limited Matthysee was as a fighter, more than him being such a good win

It was one of the few fights I would actually use the term ‘exposed’

So the resume really comes down to Khan, debated win over Peterson, Matthysee and Guerrero. I can see the point OP is trying to make, but my conclusion would be Garcia is a better fight albeit not by a great deal

Your threads are worse and worse every time man. Either that or you’re trolling, but i’ll bite. Danny has lost against every top WW but has never been dropped or stopped, let alone “outclassed.” Nobody’s performance against DSG deserved singing praise. They were all solid wins but nothing spectacular. Indongo literally got wiped off the canvas by Bud and Regis. And just got wiped again by the Kazakh.

in regards of achievement, yes, comparable, both were unified and held 2 belts, but skillwise Garcia is a level above, lets say one is a B another is a C level fighter

I respect your opinion. But your opinion was drastically different than a lot of nsb.

Matthysse was held in high regard in nsb and was supposed to annihilate Danny. Instead Danny beat his ass.

That shouldn’t be forgotten or minimized.
