Those two alone are quality AND two guys Crawford refused to fight.

But then you throw in PRIME Mikey Garcia, at the time Top 5 at 135.

Now, explain which Crawford opponents match any one of those?
Top 5 at 135 is where at 147? And you capitalize the word prime like Porter didn’t get a gift off Ugas the fight before.

Overboard? Spence has beaten everyone in front of him so far and the most impressive was going over to Brooks country and coming home with belt after stopping him. We need to all put more respect on his name.

what makes him different from Thurman who accomplished the same thing 3-4 yrs ago?
Thurman got his azz kicked by Pac and has a loss on his record. Thurman also never traveled to another fighters country and stopped them to win title. Hope that helps u. lol

Spence did what he needed to do but I wasn't overly impressed. Garcia beats Granados, Rios and Redkach and loses to Thurman and Porter. To me Spence and Crawford are the only two guys at 47 who are currently A+ fighters anyway so unless they fight, the other fights are meaningless. Spence has definitely fought better guys no doubt but I see Crawford doing the same to those same guys. I'm positive he beats Porter, Garcia etc.

              Is he the best? Sure.

Did he prove it by beating Garcia? No.

He proved it by fighting 3 of the top guys (at least 2 unquestionable) in the division and beating all of them.

I agree champ. You weren't even at a full strength or at a 100 percent and yet you still whooped Danny Garcia's ass worse than you did Shawn Porter's ass at full strength.

That's the only part I don't agree with.

It's not that I disagree though, it's that it's unproven. Not in the sense that Crawford can't beat them but in the sense that Crawford has never fought anyone even on their levels to hold as a measure to say, he'd beat them.

Brook (Orbital broken twice) was washed by the time he fought him and Khan lost to Danny G anyways. So those two fights don't hold weight for Crawford.

Does Crawford have the ability? Sure. Does it mean he automatically wins? Nope. Because he hasn't even fought anyone close to their level to begin with.

Where was he rated at that point anyways?

He was top 5 at 135 and he's currently top 10 by the ring after losing to Spence and beating Vargas.

So Mikey is at worst top 10 with 1 L @147. What was he rated before the L at 147?

Crawford needs to step up of his level of opposition first before challenging Erroll Spence, Jr. He can start by fighting a Danny Garcia or a Shawn Porter and a Keith Thurman before calling out the best in the welterweight division.

I know that he is undefeated but that doesn't mean shit if all you do is cherrypick your opponents. Stop fighting gatekeepers and start fighting some real champions and contenders in the division.

However and then again, if he had any real balls, then he wouldn't be fighting on Top Rank in the first place. It has become a safe haven for him because he is afraid of getting his asswhooped; Which is why he hasn't signed with the PBC who has all the belts and contenders in his division.
