  • Better resume: Oscar de La Hoya or Felix Trinidad?

i like both of these guys. i prefer oscar and i feel like he has a better resume, but im not so sure.

    against common opponents:

Pernell whitaker - i honestly thought Oscar won this fight, albeit by a hair. Pernell showed great defensive skills but not enough offense, which i thought oscar had more of (even if he missed a lot). On the other hand, Felix trinidad CLEARLY beat whitaker. At the same time, whitaker was already out the door when he fought DLC, even worse when he fought Trinidad. Unsure who had the better win here.

Bernard hopkins - they both lose, but at least trinidad went out like a man and lasted until the final round.

fernando vargas - DLH finished him off one round sooner, but Trinidad beat him when vargas was undefeated. Tough to say.

i also thought DLH got clearly robbed in the Trinidad fight. I had him winning 8-9 rounds, maybe 10 lol.

    idk tough to say.

      Crazy fighters, with crazy resumes!

Trinidad had Reid, Joppy Winky Wright, Roy Jones Jr

De La Hoya had Chavez, Mosley, Quartey, Gatti, Mayweather, Pacqiuao,

      De La Hoya

I’ll take Trinidad because he was way more dominant at the higher weights.

Oscar all day. That motherf***er fought EVERYONE.

Who did Tito really fight who Oscar didn’t? Reid is the only one he won I can think of, you could maybe put Blocker in there as well. He also fought Winky Wright and RJJ as well but decisively lost both.

They share a lot of names like B-Hop, Whitaker, Vargas, Carr, Campas, Mayorga etc but Oscar also beat Quartey, Chavez, Paez, Gatti, Genaro Hernandez and then went close with Mayweather, close twice with Mosley and even fought Pacquiao but lost decisively.

Shame he ran. He cost himself that fight by coasting.

Yup,was a shame, eventhough you still could have given oscar the decision. It was clear as day though who was the superior boxer/fighter.

Yeah I think he could have won too. You can tell Oscar still regrets what he did on those later rounds until this day.

Trinidad is better in my opinion. Oscar fought Mayuga and Vargas after Trinidad wrecked them.Oscar fans say he beat Trinidad and Trinidad fans say he beat Oscar. Officially Trinidad beat him in Oscar's boxing hometown. Trinidad won a piece of the middleweight title with a KO win. Oscar won a piece of the middleweight tittle with a home country robbery.
