One press conference away from the Canelo fight? Really what happened ?

Obviously you’ve been living in a bubble!

There is no question that Saunders does need to take some of the bigger names though to prove he is up there with the best. He obviously almost thought Andrade but failed a drug test too but that’s self caused.

Yeah obviously missed that. Fighting 3 times in 3 years is not good enough and he hasn’t fought any top names for quite some time.

He’s obviously very talented can see that. I’m just not a fan of his and want to see him lose. He needs to fight someone good for that to happen!

          Well, it's a legit stance.

If Crawford gets called P4P and deserves 60% from Spence for beating Brook, surely Saunders is now P4P and deserves 60% from Canelo for beating Murray?

In both cases you're dealing with guys that got permanently damaged by Golovkin before they got hand picked by their respective undefeated A-Sides.

He probably deserves whatever the minimum credit is for doing your job. At least he attempted to get him outta there instead of fully coasting. Still though, it was a pretty boring, dirty fight.

              What?

They were about to announce the fight they all got cancelled because of Covid. Billy was in UsA about to announce the fight and attend a press conference.

He’s also signed to fight GGG twice in the past, he even showed the texts with Tom Loeffler asking when they going to send the contract back.

So it’s not like he hasn’t tried for the big fights. he’s also to blame in some instances, but in some instances he’s not.

If look back at this thread you’d realise that this has already been answered. Thanks anyway

i thought Saunders fought well and looked sharp but I don't think he should get much credit for beating a washed up 38 year old cherry pick that he should not have defended his world title against in the 1st place. The terrible fight Murray fought is prove he was not a worthy challenger.

I mean he won, so there's that. Outside of that, no credit whatsoever. Look who he fought. This fight did nothing to raise his stock or show us something we didn't already know, he looks decent against less than sub-par competition

Considering that GGG doesn't get any credit for stopping Murray when Murray was 32 and in his prime?

                      No.
