1.) Charges forward, right handed, but mainly throws his left. Rinse, repeat.
2.) Throws about 7 punches a round.
Verdict: given the punch output from Murray, he only wanted to SURVIVE a BJS fight going the full 12. Means his conditioning or age really hit a toll, or the pandemic situation really messed up his year...
Given all those factors it’s hard to judge BJS’s skill as of late. Ring Rust. Less power?
BJS can’t hang with the elites in their prime. He said he wants Andrade, or Canelo vs Smith. He ditched an Andrade fight and didn’t take Andrade’s call for the 168 attempt. He also waited for Murray to get old by doing what he did to Andrade. Mr. Cancellation. And now Hearn is even saying BJS “hasn’t been tested yet or that we can’t see it.”
Murray is way over the hill. When is Saunders going to be in a proper fight ?
Well considering he was one day away from the press conference for the Canelo fight, he’s obviously not avoiding good fights, but he wanted to get out before the end of the year and there was not many people available.
The fight was what it was. Saunders too good for Murray but Murray is just a very experienced fighter that doesn’t really get stopped and knows how to stay in the fight.
He completely dominated him , only GGG has stopped Murray before so it was a good win. Many fighters have struggled either with the no crowds, lack of matches recently or a combination but I felt he was always in control and until round 12 always felt he could still get the KO. He also had a valid knockdown ruled out for some reason?
Like all of us, let’s hope he takes on one of the big boys soon. I’m thinking Andrade would still be great to see.
In comparison to jacobs last week - which anyone and everyone could’ve fell asleep this was miles apart
