Dana White’s influence over Tyson re-emerges. No Mike, ufc is not. Boxing had been slaughtering UFC in the ratings due to PBC and Top Rank being on network tv and basic cable.

This is sad but very true. Say what you want about these YouTube fights being a ‘circus’ and a black eye for boxing, but the fact is that these YouTube personalities have literal millions of followers that tune into everything they do, thus putting boxing strongly in the spotlight.

Where on the contrary, you have actual boxing titleholders who couldn’t draw flies to dog*****, refuse to make fights we fans want to see and make a public mockery of themselves with outlandish statements and foolish excuses whenever they do receive a platform.

Not sure if this is something to be proud about. You have world class fighters who receive little recognition,
whereas YouTube personalities with minimal skills draw millions to tune into their matches. It’s a sad state for boxing when it has come to that. Boxing needs someone like Dana White to revitalize the sport. He has a no bs approach and makes fights between the best in the division happen. Boxing’s problem is that these greedy alphabet organizations create too many “champions” to keep track of. Promoters are too greedy and create these different networks and refuse to work with each other because of their pride and other political bs. We need fights like Spence vs Crawford, Fury vs Joshua and Lopez vs Davis to happen now, not several years down the road.

PBC does marginally higher ratings but it being on Fox is literally the sole reason for that, the UFC would do higher numbers in the same slot. Top Rank got two big ratings through giving away Loma and Crawford fights for free, the rest of the time the UFC has outdrawn them. Globally the UFC is probably getting significantly more viewers than any single boxing promotion most weekends.

PPV wise its not even close.

Al gaymon is the problem killing boxing. He blocked floyd vs pac for 6 years. he's blocking spenceweather vs Bud for 3 years. He blocked wilder vs AJ. He's blocking Davis vs Lopez and Loma. He blocked stevenson vs kovalev.

al gaymon and pbc must be boycotted - to force those cowards to go broke and then they will be forced to fight the fights the public is demanding.

When we flush pbc and al gaymon down the toilet, boxing can be great again.

If the ufc is kicking boxings butt it's because all the fighters are under one org so the cards are stacked and the best constantly fight the best. The youtubers do nothing for the sport

                Bruh keep the same energy.

Bob Arum is currently blocking Teo vs Haney and blocked Haney vs Campbell/Loma prior to that.

That same Bob admitted he was lying back then when he said Floyd was ducking and Freddy Roach admitted it was their fault the fight didn't happen earlier.

Stop being biased. Haymon aint the only one blocking fights.

It is showing that fighters should do more to promote themselves.

Nothing is stopping them from using social media to make themselves more accessible.
