The idea of her not knowing that is both sad and comical at the same time😅😅

I was gonna say that too. His response seemed more emotional than anything else lol

There is definitely sexism in sports not just boxing. Even women don't enjoy women's sports is maybe the biggest problem doe.

And boxing being more of a niche sport these days makes it harder on female fighters. There is definitely more money & more upside in MMA than in boxing. There has been one female PPV in boxing history & it did ~100k buys. There has been numerous females in MMA that have A sided MMA PPV events that have done multiples of 100k. I get this move by Shields & surprised it wasn't made sooner.

She's beaten more notable pro women than "the rival" so I don't see what you are seeing.

And as I understand it she'll still be competing in boxing here & there so I don't believe she's leaving boxing 100%. Believe she's still booked for a January fight currently.

I think most women athletes being rational understand supply & demand. That's the whole reason fighters like Shields & others are going to MMA. There is more demand for their services there.

            Idk about this.

I know there are some combat sports fans who can't get into females fighting at all. Fair play to them.

But I'd argue most MMA fans just appreciate the fight itself more than they are turning off & on for specific fights.

And as a fan of both sports I definitely get more into female MMA fights than female boxing matches.

Granted there is still almost as much chance a fight goes to decision in a 5 minute round MMA bout as boxing bout, but it's still much more entertaining cuz of how evenly matched the fights tend to be.

Personally I think one of the biggest problems with boxing across the board is fights aren't evenly matched enough. Everything is about building a guy into a prospect, than into a contender, than into a champion, than into a superstar & you use clever matchmaking all the way up to the highest level you can reach without taking anything worse than a 70/30 your favor opponent.

He’s hondureño thus his nickname Catracho. From Honduras, he reps Honduras to the fullest. Even showcased baleados and Honduran culture in the build up to Loma fight.

In Latin America boxing is still huge and in Honduras where Lopez had already fought as an Olympian, he’s Canelo status god.

Your comment is the one that makes no sense.

                    Negative. I just responded.

All you prove is that you are very ignorant. Call that emotional If you want.

The emotion I feel for you is pity for being an ignorant person.

There's a FOTY award specifically for women, it's not like they are competing with the men for the same award. At least I don't think they are lol
