You make it so obvious, you have no clue or understanding what the title of, and clout T Crawford has earned, which is determined by and expressed from real boxing experts, the meaning of "World's P4P #1 rank" truly means.

I get it, he " beat the man that beat the man", meaning Jeff Horn (Crawford's words).

Then he beat a C-level named Kavaliauskas (BoMac's words).



Then he beat a "wounded duck" in Kell Brook (BoMac's words).




Then he refused to fight Porter (Arum's words).

Here's the sad truth.

Virgil Ortiz would be a better opponent than anyone else on the resume even now.

Might even see Crawford experience a DuBWAH moment and take a knee late. Could you imagine? NSB would probably break.

Ortiz is not a prospect, he’s a full-on contender now. It would be a ballsy move for Ortiz to make, but this kid is chasing greatness and that’s how you do it. Win or lose, This is a legacy making fight for Vergil. I have no doubt that this would be an absolute fire fight that would raise both guy’s stock.

As much as I hate to admit it, I agree with you. People are still calling the kid a prospect because of his age and the limited amount of time he's been a pro but the advances he's made and the competition he has beaten makes him a contender whether people want to admit it or not. I don't see it happening, at least not next but if Crawford gets really desperate for an opponent and can't get the PBCers in the ring, this could be the most viable option. Good post Nacho.

If Crawford steps in that ring without having fabricated a hand injury or some other way to artificially delay fight camps, he'll get credit from me.

If BoMac doesn't trash Ortiz on some interview, Crawford will get credit from me.

If the ref is someone like Kenny Bayless, who won't go for too much nonsense and isn't likely to trigger stoppage, Crawford will get credit from me.

If Crawford beats Ortiz clearly and cleanly, he will get credit from me.

Basically, I want Crawford to go out there and win without any advantages. Then he'll get credit.
