Don't care for Canelo but he probably picked Smith because it was a bigger financial offer rather than anybody 'ducking' or being scared

You should have let them know you wanted the fight, when they were looking for an opponent back in May. If your the best as you say you've got to prove, a few weeks of training is enough to get ready. Especially when your saying that your the best in the division. I've seen you fight, and you've got real good skills. You should have had enough confidence in your skills to have taken on the challenge. We can't always have perfectly lined up to our liking. We have to dare to be great, take chances, and make the necessary sacrifices. Although you have some decent wins on your record, you still only have 20 fights. You still haven't established yourself as a long reining champion in your division. Having tried to make that fight earlier in the year, would've let the boxing world just how serious you are about establishing that your the best.

if you wanna get the fight with canelo youve got to look like trash in your last fight or make it clear your best days are behind you. only hope is that smith took this into account and that he was going easy on ryder deliberately.

I wanted more that Plant fight, from alll what's been said from multiple sides it seems it wasn't just a good time and date to put the fight on PPV, seems like Haymon could not make the deal to pay both Canelo and Plant enough money.

I'm 90% possitive that Canelo will fight either BJS or GGG on May 2021, I would take the BJS fight and go on to look for the WBC and IBF with either Plant or Benavidez Sep 2021.

It's a long road for undisputed but I do think Canelo can pull it off, only fight I would rather see even if it's without belts would be the Charlo fight.

Just my humble opinion but if Canelo fights all those undefeated champions in the next 2 years and beats most of them he will enter ATG status.

You missed out on the Canelo fight, go after the Benevides fight. I'm sure most, if not every fan wants to see that fight. That fight isn't a guaranteed win for either of you. It would be a hotly contested fight for both of you. More importantly the winner will make the best case for himself as the best in the division. He'll also have an inside track to setting up a fight with Canelo. So stop lamenting about your lost opportunity to fight Canelo, and force his hand by beating someone as significant as Benevides.

Why would that mean Plant didn't want the Canelo smoke when literally part of that deal would have been to have these two face off in May? As Jake Donavan mentioned and others, PBC wasn't going to put on two PPVs in a two week span. And December 19 is a no go already for networks with the college football conference championships and two NFL games. He would have ended up fighting a lower level guy like Dirrell or something probably on regular SHO.

Canelo made the correct decision to turn that down and instead go after Smith. He can fight Plant in May of 2021 if he doesn't take on GGG.

Sounds like Al doesn't believe in his boys. To many fights not made and they all say the same thing.

They don't allow them to cross the ST. But they don't give us good fights . Come one PBC

Canelo didn’t want to sign with Al, that was all a smokescreen, Hearn has been back dooring Oscar the entire time, he let Canelo what money would be there if he would force his way out of the GBP contract, Oscar needs a real president, a bulldog that would have played hardball.
