Old, senile and a hypocrite. It should've stayed behind closed doors? Maybe think that or say something to him in person before calling out your fighter.

Arum is a POS; plain and simple. Plain and simple.
Why don't we tax these scumbags at 90%? Tax this idiots to adjust their attitudes. Maybe they will leave the country and go live in some tax haven far away so we don't have to breathe the same air as them. Old POS.Comment

Crawford is not worth $10million, neither does Spence. If it is true that they would both want guarantees of at least $10mill, then the fight can’t happen.
$80 for a PPV at let’s say, 400k, that is $32million - 40% for cable company and satellite = $19.2 million.
First of all that is $800k shy of having the $20mill for Spence and Crawford. Then there’s absolutely zero dollars for the promoters. The production and advertisement for the fight costs money.
To be worth making it, the fight would have to sell 500k at $80, and that will just cover the costs of the fighters, cable, satellite, production and advertisement. 500k would break even.
It’s sad that all these fighters nowadays think they’re worth money they can’t produce. Cash cows are called that because of the money they generate. Crawford couldn’t draw flies to sh-t and Spence’s lone good PPV was vs Mikey Garcia, who brings a whole country to the table.Comment

Sounds like Bud is about to be a free agent. Bob doubling down would seem to suggest he's gonna cut him loose earlier than October or whenever the contract is supposed to be over.
I definitely wouldn't be mad at seeing Bud vs the Errol vs Danny winner in the 2nd quarter of 2021 so I hope that's what goes down.Comment

This is so interesting because Bob isn't wrong in his thinking, he just never should have slammed Bud publicly.
A $10 million guarantee for both Crawford and Spence seems reasonable to me, but with the pandemic, isn't realistic at the moment.
I get it.Comment

Arum's age is irrelevant, if he feels that way about Crawford and his facts are accurate then he's right in wanting nothing more to do with Crawford. In business you don't let people stuff you around if you want some respect and having respect is important in business.
It seems that both Spence and C are over valuing themselves but perhaps they are both negotiable, that's for the negotiators to find out, guessing is pointless. It depends too on how much money both have stashed away, they may have enough to avoid getting their brains scrambled in their 30's.Comment

May very well be the case, but when you had uncle bob over paying you by millions to fight has beens, then in crawfords mind hes going to believe hes worth ALOT more then his true worth, getting paid 7mil for fighting amir khan is madness but due to arum paying them silly fight purses made crawford believe his value is A LOT more then it actually is. So from crawfords perspective, to actually fight a high risk opponent the money should be significantly more then he was already getting for fighting no hopers really. Financially hes been way better of then the PBC welterweights in terms of pay cheques but in reality he was just being over payed and finally Arum had enough and told the truth about it all.
It was the Khan fight that created this high standard pay fiasco. Khan was a low-risk very high reward fight. Anyone more difficult than Khan, should imply Bud must be paid more which Arum couldn’t match the standard anymore.Last edited by Ca$ual Fan; 11-24-2020, 12:31 AM.Comment

The wrong here is putting out in public, Bob can say all this stuff to his face and they can work out how to sort it out not in public where everybody gets riled up and takes sides flaming which does nothing for the situation., sort it out in private otherwise I dont think its in Buds best interests to stay with Top Rank.Comment
