Mikey does not belong at 147. Also, the way Spence handled him, I don’t even tuu hi hi he can hang with the 140 guys.

In fact, I’d bet on Teofimo to beat him. Mikey could have been 45-0 had he stayed at 135.
He could have made a lot more money on probably the most stacked division talent-wise (& market-wise too) in boxing today.

A win against Tank or Ryan Garcia or even Loma would have put him in the path to ATG.

      180 lbs though???

And how can you say it will be made, "if both of them will accept $3M". Says who?

Manny isn't fighting for $3M and I'm beginning to think Mikey feels he's above that $3M as well...especially to face Manny.

Mikey could make 135, and his first fight back should be against Ryan Garcia. A Garcia-Garcia fight should be an easy win for Mikey, then he'll know if he can still make 135 without losing something.
To be honest, I actually think I mixed up the fights and I meant Easter (instead of Broner). When I say he looked bad, I don't mean like skin and bones. That's not weight drained. Lots of fighters appear that way. I meant his skin color/tone. His movement. His voice was soft and distant. Movements were slow. He just didn't look himself to me.

And to some other commenters here (and not to you specifically), Mikey couldn't have stayed at 135 his whole career. Not all fighters can do that. We're here acting as if something isn't working. He's lost one fight against a killer, a fighter that everyone has lost to. It's not as if Mikey has lost 3 fights in a row and at a career crossroads because of it. Let's see what his next fight brings, and then we'll go from there. If I beats a Pac or a Thurman, the world will change their tone

He's in a difficult position. The biggest fights are at 147, but he can't hang with the champs. The next biggest fights are against the young guns at 135, but as you said, that weight cut may be too much for Mikey now. Which leaves 140, which wouldn't drain him, but the fights at 140 are the least financially appealing of the 3 weight classes.

This is pretty accurate. Can't argue with that. There's always money to be made. I personally think he can hang with some of the welterweights as I've mentioned here. I think he would get destroyed by Porter and Spence (obviously). I think he'd have a tough time with Ugas. I think he is 50/50 with Pac and Danny G. And I think he beats Thurman and all the others below. So if his next 3 fights were, say, Pac, Thurman, DannyG, that's nice money and potentially 2-1 record there. Can't be disappointed if that were to play out if you're Mikey.

Mikey just recently said that he would rather go down to 140 than stay at 147. But both unified champions are with Top Rank, Mikey said, "Do you really think Top Rank is going to let me fight them?"

It's just plain wrong, because I see Mikey beating both unified champs at 140 and becoming undisputed. Then, he can take on Teofimo when he moves up to 140. Being at 147 doesn't make sense for Mikey.

Well unfortunately Mikey knows the business. And when you war with a promotional company, you know how the outcome will end. But I say do 140 anyways. By the time he gets back in shape, gets another fight, belts will be scattered everywhere. It always seems to work out that way. Fight Prograis. I've always liked that fight for Mikey

Yeah, as long as he keeps winning at 140, they'll have him ranked highly both in the 140 division and on the P4P list. Teofimo seems like the kind of guy who will try to make that fight if they end up being the top 2 fighters at 140.
