Lots of reasons why this fight gets made, primarily monetary but also that Kambosos is mandatory.

However, if this goes ahead mid-spring, it might be Lopez last fight at 135 unless Haney or Davis step up to the plate.

You hear all this talk of how much certain fights could potentially generate in Australia and it's almost always delusional and then the promoter has to appeal to the Australian government for help funding it and nonsense like that. Kambosos, Beltran, Shawn Porter and Mikey Garcia were some of Pacman's former sparring partners. Kambosos can upset Teo in Australia if Teo can not put him to sleep. Aussie government can pay 5M US dollar to Teo just like they did to Pacman. Kambosos is a clean fighter unlike Jeff Horn. Kambosos counters with good combinations like Juan Manuel Marquez. Rematch contract with fixed amount in favour of Teo is necessary because you will never know if you go down under like Pacman.
