I hear you but I have to disagree with Mikey and Keith.

I know it's called "prize fighting" but Mikey is really acting like a "mercenary" at the moment. Of course beating the likes of Spence and/or PacMan greatly enhances one's legacy but Mikey really seems hellbent on cashing in on his name. If Mikey was trying to balance money/legacy, he would try to become a major player at 140lbs (by beating Prograis for example) and position himself to fight the winner of Ramirez vs Taylor which could naturally lead to a PacMan fight or a fight vs the big dogs at 147lbs. Mikey is like "f*** that", I'll just hustle 7mil out of Eddie Hearn and Dazn vs Vargas and survive 12rds vs Spence for a nice paycheck. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not mad at Mikey for doing what he's doing especially after losing years of his career in a legal battle with TR.

As for Keith, I don't think he's trying to catch another L (not saying he couldn't beat Bud) without a massive paycheck along with said potential L.

As for Ugas, I agree with you but there is a caveat. As soon as he got that "regular" WBA title, he became a much more valuable commodity within the PBC stable imo because his fights can now be sold as title fights despite Ugas still being high risk low reward.

So In Conclusion Im sure you can see theirs plenty of action to go around on the PBC side.
Yes there are plenty of potential matchups, however we all know that elite guys only fight 1-2 times per year and there are limited TV dates. For example, you can pretty much throw out almost all of the Pacquiao matchups because he will be retired sooner than later, plus Thurman’s injuries might cause him to hang it up earlier than expected. The majority of those rematches won’t happen either unless something drastic happens because there isn’t much demand for them right now.

True but figthers randoms names will ride a high and make for a one off fight vs these names, theirs enough fight to their for them to compete with each other if they want. But big elite names would have all face each other in 3 years top, so crawford only has to hold out 3 more years to start picking them off after their wars with each other.

I get what you’re saying, but would you agree that Crawford will probably drop off during those three years too?

He won’t be the same at 36 as he is right now at 33, no matter who he fights in the meantime. I would agree with you if he was still in his 20’s but time isn’t exactly on his side either

no he wont drop off fighting the light weight work he is facing at 147. The only drop off he would have is probably due to age but it will be the same drop off the pbc fighters will have in addition to the wardamage they will incurr during their royal rumble years.

He's already dropped off in my opinion. His fans just like the knockouts, but he's CLEARLY declined.

Go back and watch his fight with Ricky Burns. He got touched, but nowhere near what we saw with Gamboa, Khan, Brook or Kavaliauskas. THAT version of Crawford, I'm a fan of.

The ref kept him honest so no dirty crap, the ref wasn't trigger so Burns had a chance, Crawford got proper warnings and was forced to actually fight clean. Which showcased true skill to me. You look at that fight and it almost looked 50/50 despite it being nowhere near that.

I get that he's changed things up to get guys out of there faster, but what that means is you'll end up with a Wilder situation where at some point, you're going to face a guy that won't go anywhere. Then what do you do? You look like a regular fighter.
