I wonder if ESPN feels the same way as Arum. The ratings of Crawfords fights will go a long way to determining if Crawford is set free or not.

Either way, I am betting one more fight in 2021 and Crawford becomes a free agent. Wonder how much longer he has left fighting at the top level. Despite his unifying the belts at 140 and becoming an instant champ at 147, he really does not have a ton of wars in the ring. He has won most easily, and when challenged or hurt fought smart and avoided real damage. He may have a few good years left.

I like Bud as a fighter, he has great skills and is a vicious bar steward when it comes to finishing. Yeah it's Bob's job to promote, but TC doesn't give him much to work with. I get that TC is a likeable, down to earth dude in real life but you got to be a brand these days. I've read Bud v Brook did 1.75M so you can't say he ISN"T a draw... But I'm sure he could be a much bigger draw with a bit of decent PR. I don't particularly care for that, I'm a hardcore boxing fan. You can keep your UFC or whatever, I'm just into boxing. However, you get paid by stirring up the casual interest and becoming a celebrity. If Bud wants bigger paydays maybe he should be a little more Blair Cobbs..

Bob set himself up for a lawsuit with his comments. If Crawford is shelved he will use Bob's comments against him to show bad faith in fulfilling his end of the contract. They should just go on their separate ways.

This was smart on Bob's part. If he taints Bud and makes it look like he is a waste of a promoters money then other promoters will not want to work with him. If other promoters see this as in house fighting and think they have a chance at buying out Bud's contract then Bob gets to sell it off for more than intended. Bob puts himself in a win-win situation.

If Bob is right and Terrence is asking for more than he is worth then time will tell. Seeing as Bud is already asking for the majority of the purse to fight Spence even though Bud is clearly the lower valued fighter. Bud is delusional and thinks his value is higher than it is.
