The contract is being discussed in mediation and then arbitration. That was a meaningful condition inserted should there be a disagreement. It means the contract is still binding. Ask Bob Arum.

If they had a valid contract they would have gone to their lawyers and hit team Fury with a legal suit, like Eddie Hearn did to Haymon and PBC after Ruiz tried to weasel out of his rematch clause with AJ.

Why does Fire even think Wilder wants that work? It's Wilders team that pulled the plug on December, not Fury. It's Wilders team that made a fuss when Fury said he was moving on cuz he still wanted to fight in December but team Wilders plan was Feb.

Then when Furys December date with who ever didn't happen, giving team Wilder time to negotiate a fight early 2021 all of a sudden Wilder didn't wana wait for Fury and wanted to fight in December again.

Taking a contract to a mediator does not prove or indicate that the contract is still legally binding.

A mediator is simply a legal expert who will look at a contract and try to help both parties resolve a dispute about that contract without going to court.

That is literally all the mediator does. The arbitrater will decide if the contract is still valid, if mediation isn't enough to settle the dispute.
