It wasn't like Wilder got suddenly and badly injured in the fight.
Deontay doesn't like the idea of quitting we already know so throwing in the towel isn't THAT much further off from talking about stopping the fight in the corner. So I don't think they'd wanna do that.

Telling Deontay he's losing & needs to make something happen coulda been a move to make & maybe they did I don't recall all the corner talk.

And I still say fair play to Deontay for firing Mark. I'm a big fan of Mark, but ultimately he did go against his bosses wishes even if it was in benefit of him. You gotta fire that guy or be done in this game if its come to the point of someone going against you in fear of your life/livelihood. That said its been a sh^t show with every other thing Deontay has said to why he lost beyond that situation so its getting harder to agree for Deontay's take on anything lmfao.

What exactly is Malik Scott supposed to do for wilder to increase the tools in the tool box for dealing with Fury? Good G-d man, Wilder just can’t figure it out....

Wilder should fire himself. I never heard so many excuses. Wilder wants a body on his record? It's likely to be his own. He has made it clear he wants to be beaten to death.

You kept Deas because he’s a ****ing yes man who’s been blowing smoke up your ass since you drove a beer truck.

This guy. Wilder has been my main source of entertainment during 2020. It’s been a hard year, but once I hear this man speak his excuses, it makes me realise how well off I actually am in life. Tyson fury has taken Deontay’s soul and it’s getting hard to watch or listen too. His family need to start rallying around him but give him some home truths. He wasn’t cheated. He seriously lacks any Boxing skill. He won’t EVER improve he’s made that clear their is nothing for him to learn, he’s made that crystal clear. Will either go back to fighting cans or will just retire. I’d actually like to see a lesser known name be the one to KO Him and put a end to his FRAUDULENT Career.

True about the money but working for such an instable person who may fire you at any moment especially after he chewed you out....the money is not always good enough to be treated like trash.

Wilder is thinking (1) way only about the stoppage, “going out on his shield and being a warrior.” But he isn’t factoring in the financial consequences of being out for a 10 count and beyond or being seriously hurt. He already as other fighters ready to fight him with no fear now due to how he got exposed from Fury. Fighters stating they will knock him out. Imagine if he really got laid out cold, how we would all feel about Wilder. Breland kept some money in his pocket and he still has the ability to negotiate a certain amount because the towel was thrown instead of him being out cold.
