True nobody truly knows what is going on in Wilder's head and what he has had to overcome etc. Pride is a nasty thing to hold onto and Wilder is letting it run his life. Why would Deas want to continue to work with Wilder after the supposed earful he received and knowing that he could possibly get fired at any moment if Wilder throws a fit?

Technically throwing in the towel does not guarantee the ref will stop the fight though right? It ultimately comes down to the ref if the fight gets stopped or not.

Crazy? Maybe or maybe it's the PEDS doing what they do. Think about it, he Keeps Deas, dumps Breland, forces a rematch then stall it then force it again. I think Mark did the right thing but I do have one question. Wilder was not performing for some rounds, so why did Mark or anyone from the team not mention that to Wilder? Usually, in a situation like that, the trainer would say, "show me something in the next round or I am calling it off".

Nobody has ever needed to motivate Wilder in the ring. Normally he's a warrior from round 1 all the way through round 12. The problem wasn't his motivation, it was a physical handicap. The round 3 knockdown disrupted his equilibrium and turned his legs to jelly. A fighter without legs is a sitting duck. This has never happened to him in 43 fights and I don't believe it will ever happen again.
