What I was eluding to was that brain injuries are so dangerous to one's health that I don't believe anyone really really recovers from those injuries. The main reason for my comment on that subject, was my concern for Nakatani's health, and well being. If he still has lingering brain damage, continuing his boxing career can be fatal, especially if your next opponent is Felix Verdejo. That's basically what I was saying, even though my time line was off, the concern remains the same.
I'm not sure you know what the word 'eluding' means my brother. I'm not trying to be a smart a$$...just pointing that out.

Have we ever seen Verdejo quit in a fight? Maybe I'm thinking of someone else. Looks like he might when the pressure gets too much.

The commentators on one of the televised boxing events, and also it was stated on Cano Loco Sports. I just didn't hear it stated by one boxing commentator. That said what you are saying makes a lot of sense, but there are many fighters who make it through examinations with injuries. Only to be divulged by the fighters themselves, and then have major surgeries. I'm not going to go through a list of these, I will say that I hope that he is in great physical condition. What I had read, or heard was that Nakatani had retired after his fight with Lopez, because of a brain injury. Then a few months later decided to resume his boxing career, thats what I heard, and I commented on it. In a few weeks they'll be fighting, and if their was any truth about an brain injury It'll be brought up before the start of their fight. Let's just wait until 12/12/20, I'm sure we'll find out all there is to know at that point in time.

No Verdejo has never quit in a fight, even when he was under heavy pressure. As a matter of fact he complained immediately to the referee, when the fight was stopped. I'd bet that if he ever has a rematch against Antonio Lozado, he wont only beat him, but he'll knock him out in brutal fashion. I think he's fighting Nakatani in preparation for a rematch with Lozado, they are about the same height, and have similar styles.

How long has Verdejo been inactive now? Haven't heard about him for so long? Thanks for the info. I think I remember the Lozada fight.

Your correct illpapi, I did use the wrong word, thanks for pointing it out to me. What I meant to say was, alluding, not eluding, as you can see it's easy to get them mixed up. I do know that eluding means to evade, or escape, while alluding means to suggest. I don't think that you were being a smart a$$, my brother.

Have you not see the lead up promo videos of Lopez talking about his father? It is apparent that there is a rift between them and there are issues. I do agree that they did a good job staying in their kids life but really should that not be expected? Why are we praising fathers for remaining relevant in a childs life? That should be the norm not the exception. Garcia and Lopez's father's have taught them how to hate and that is no way to raise a human being. Why go around the world hating everything for no reason?
I agree with you Silver Spear on this one, these fathers have pent up resentment, that they never resolved. Now they're taking advantage of their sons success, to express themselves to the world. If they had something positive to say, you could excuse them for using some of their son's time to shine. But not these three, its like they're crashing their own son's party, in such a de****able manner. There is a video on youtube, where Lopez Sr. is egging Rollie Romero, to get into a fight with Ryan Garcia at a boxing card. Where they're supposed to be spectators/fans watching the fights. You have to see how this supposedly grown man, is acting like a juvenile delinquent in a schoolyard. He also had an issue with his son marrying, the women who is now his wife. That's probably why you didn't see him at the dinner that was video taped for the lead up to Lopez versus Lomachenko.

I have not been able to find an article saying he had any sort of brain injury. The only articles I can find are of another boxer who did have a brain injury and died on the same card as Nakatani and Lopez. The reason why Nakatani retired was because he lost his undefeated record. Japanese boxing is a bit more fickle than the rest of the world. Once you lose your undefeated status most promoters do not want to work with you anymore.

The fight is only 3 weeks away, if there was any truth to what I heard it will be brought up on fight night. I assure I didn't make it up, a lot of things are reported in the world of boxing. I did tell you that 'Cano Loco Sports' on Youtube, did mention it but you didn't check that out. That said Silver Spear, let's just wait until fight night. In the commentators prefight analysis it will be addressed if their is any truth to it. I wont comment any further on this subject until after 12/12/20, because that is when we'll know definitively what the facts are. Silver Spear I do appreciate the correspondence, because boxing is my favorite sport.

I guess we will have to wait then. That cano guy on youtube has a few hundred views on his videos. I find it hard to believe that he would have insider information when nobody else has. The articles I read where from Japan too and none of them mentioned any brain injury. We only have a few weeks left though so no more waiting.
