No Athletic Commission will let a fighter who had a brain injury from his last fight, fight.
Brain injuries from boxing don't heal, they get progressively worse.

I'm not down on Aussies, just saying, this fight is in Las Vegas, between a Japanese and Puerto Rican. Almost neutral ground, bright lights, and Naka is going to knock him out, barring any pre existing conditions.

The Lopez and Nakatani fight undercard had the Dadashev fight where he suffered a brain injury and passed away as a result of it. I wonder if that what Teo's dad was referencing.

I haven't seen anything about Nakatani with a brain injury, only that he briefly retired after his fight with Lopez. Anytime a fighter is contemplating retirement, I question how much he wants to be in the ring in future fights.

Regarding the Verdejo fight, I think the Puerto Rican fighter has the class and skills to win. Sounds like he has had a good camp and is close to weight. If Nakatani brings it like he did against Teo, it should be a good fight.

Your correct it was a while ago, approximately 1 year, and 4 months ago. What I was eluding to was that brain injuries are so dangerous to one's health that I don't believe anyone really really recovers from those injuries. The main reason for my comment on that subject, was my concern for Nakatani's health, and well being. If he still has lingering brain damage, continuing his boxing career can be fatal, especially if your next opponent is Felix Verdejo. That's basically what I was saying, even though my time line was off, the concern remains the same.

No Silver Spear still isn't salty about the Lomachenko loss, one thing has nothing to do with the other. Teofimo Lopez gets all the credit he deserves for defeating Lomachenko. What he's saying is that Lopez Sr, acts like a juvenile delinquent, and when your around 50 years old, and your still acting that way people start questioning your mental health. There are other fighters who have the same issues such as Robert Guerrero Sr, and Angel Garcia. They talk so much crap, you would think that they were the fighters that are going into the ring. They never amounted to much in their lives, so they've jumped at the chance to some how become relevant through their son's career's.

Never amounted to much in their lives? I believe being the fathers of world champions, keeping them from the streets and being steady role models in their lives amounts to more than most accomplish in their life times. It’s akin to homeschooling a child. It’s a selfless act and one in which a parent should be highly commended for.

Do you understand the amount of time, patience, discipline and fortitude that goes into being both a father and a boxing trainer to the point of world champion entails? They are the primary reason FOR THEIR SON’s CAREERS. Talking crap is part of the game. The more they talk crap the less their sons have to and they can focus on ring business. Please save me the never amounted to much. They did everything that’s ever asked of a father and that’s remain in their lives through childhood and into adulthood

Also Verdejo doesn't look like he can handle pressure, which Nakitani brings
