Are you mentally ******ed? The logical point is Floyd wanted to be in charge of his career. He has said this many times over and I think that reason is more important to Floyd than whatever presumed grievances he had with Arum. My guess is you are just an Arum hater because that is what most posters do here. They take a side and no matter what evidence to the contrary, they never leave that side. For you to seem befuddled by a perfectly logical statement by me shows you are a partisan that shouts out nonsense for no other reason than you hate x particular promoter or fighter.

I am also aware that the blacks of the Ali era had to conduct themselves a certain way too.
Arum is out of touch with the black fighters of today.
Name me one black superstar that Bob Arum promoted from nothing to stardom since 1990... that is to say, a household name.
That's 30 years and I'm just asking you to just name me one.Last edited by RHETOЯIC; 11-18-2020, 03:53 PM.Comment

In other words, it wasn't worth mentioning when he was your fighter... now that he may no longer be your fighter, you go out of your way to stain him to the other prospective promoters?

Like prime Golovkin, Crawford has the talent to be fighting in football stadiums. But the big marquee opponents just don't want to get in the ring with him.
If Haymon controlled Frazier and Foreman and Liston, Ali would have never got those fights. Those fights were what made Ali. So Crawford is being cheated out of his Frazier and Foreman fights. Not much he can do. Arum has to work harder to overcompensate for Crawford being cheated by the sport.Comment

Even if he did, what sense does it make to go public with it when Bud clearly didn't go public with it?

I don't think much of Arum but why is it being disrespectful when he's telling the truth. Why do people nowadays get roasted when someone asks a question and people respond with a honest answer. Bob is just speaking from a business point of view, he's not attacking Crawford's talent but stating he is losing money with Crawford's fights, that's it, nothing personal. Now that being said, Arum was the one who signed him, so he has no one to blame but himself if he's losing money. Boxing is like any other business, to succeed you have to make a profit, that's all, as far as people talking about the ratings Crawford's is bringing in, free tv ratings in boxing doesn't matter as much as in other sports, unfortunately in boxing in order to make and get paid lot's of money, you have to be a PPV draw, which Crawford is not, so for Top Rank bottom line, the amount of money Crawford is getting paid doesn't make sense, that's it, nothing more, nothing less, at this point they just need to move on from each other, cut losses and look forward towards other endeavors.Comment
