It's about time that Canelo named who his opponent will be , and on what date. His unprofessional way of keeping the boxing fans waiting for him to name his next opponent. Is a sneaky, and su****ious way to go about his career in the sport of boxing. What in the hell is he hiding, it doesn't build the intended suspense in want to see who he fights. It is having the opposite effect on boxing fans, they're getting frustrated with these cheap antics. Just come out, and say who your fighting, and when your fighting them, or just let your promoter do that. It's their responsibility promote the fight anyway, they're the ones paying to put on the fight, not you. So stop acting like your the one paying to put on the show, your just the main actor getting paid to perform on the show. This is a very good match up, as opposed to the garbage he was trying to get away with, against the Turkish fighter. Nobody was buying that mismatch, and he was trying to get 35,000,000.00 no less. This is someone who came from nothing, has made something, and now he thinks he's better than everyone else. It doesn't work that way brother, you should never forget your humble beginnings. Try to help those that still find themselves in your initial poor beginnings. Always carry yourself as a champion, for those who are looking for a positive example to follow, and emulate. Don't become a greedy self centered individual who thinks that they're above everyone else. Remember back to when you were poor, and loathed that very kind of person.

You can't "stay ready" for jet lag due to an international flight a week after the call. Smith will lose a day at least just travelling then a couple days of jet lag. All within the 3 week "training period" while Canelo will have no such issues.

Because DAZN has no choice but to do whatever Canelo says. They have NOTHING in the US that will move subscriptions. Canelo kept stressing he wanted to fight before the end of the year. ESPN has ZERO fights for him and PBC has a PPV on 12/5 and Nonito fight on 12/19 so a deal with them wasn't feasible. DAZN had no choice but to sacrifice Smith and his belt to try and stay relevant in the US, but it wont work. After Canelo gets the WBA strap he's going to go the PBC/PPV route. First fight Yildilim to get the WBC to become unified champ so he can justify being the 'A side' (as if he really needs to justify anything). Then Deverychenko - Plant - Benevidez - Dirrell - Charlo megafight- Spence megafight - Pacquiao megafight - Conor megafight. He easily crushes Mayweather's earnings if he sticks with Al. Haymon even allows him to go to other platforms for the Beterbiev and Bivol fights. DAZN, out of pure desperation, will have no choice but to stage their last two meaningful US fights (Devin v Ryan and 3G v Andrade). After that it's all over for DAZASTER!

Farthest thing from a Canelo fan but you can’t knock this fight.. Smith is a solid opponent Never would have thought Canelo would be fighting on DAZn again

Smith gets too much credit for his single notable W (Groves), But He is Prime , Undefeated and has attributes that may trouble Canelo with his size , ability to move and use the jab effectively

No excuse giving an opponent only 3 weeks to show up for an overseas fight where he loses 1-2 days to travel and 1-2 days to jetlag.

If Canelo is such a hero move the fight up a month. But he won't; he'll continue to disadvantage his opponents.

I really don't think Callum is that strong of a fighter....and you'll see that clearly on fight night...SMDH...there is absolutely NOTHING I've seen from smith that says he is going to survive in a fight with canelo....he's gonna fold like a cheap circus tent and I told everyone this months several months ago when the talks started.....not interested at all
