Why do Canelo and PBC fans hate Crawford so much

I mean, I get it in a way. He is the competition so you make him your enemy and slight him as needed.

But I don't really understand why it is so important.

I don't know if I've ever seen one Canelo fan who is also a fan in some way of Crawford.

And then PBC guys are off on him too.

Seems like those 2 groups will never give the guy credit regardless of what he does. I've never seen them say a decent thing about the guy really. Everything is 'he is the worst guy ever.'

Just wondering if they know how silly they look to everyone else?

I’m a fan of Bud and Canelo. I s hit on em both also. Also a fan of the other WWs over at PBC and was ultra critical of Spence even after dispatching Brook and fighting Mikey. I called Thurman the man until he showed he wasn’t. Spence has since fought Porter and is fighting Danny now. No need for Thurman anymore so he’s basically handling his business with two (and a half if we count a post GGG career altering beating of Kell Brook) of the top dogs at 47.

You can be a borderline nut hugger if Bud like I am and still call it like it is. The man 100% knew what he was doing calling dudes out and then goes on and signs with Top Rank. If *we* knew the fights weren’t getting made due to the network/promotional disputes, you think he didn’t? He 10000% chose easy money over risky bigger money (which he’d have had to fight and beat legitimate name fighters to increase his earning potential like Spence has). I’m not mad at it, he set his family up and earned his money. But he’s also earned the criticism of fighters and fans alike.

People are looking at Bud almost like how some looked at Lucien Bute (in a way) who wasn’t in the super 6 and then the first top dog from the super 6 (Froch) who got ahold of him beat the living f uck out of him.


You got one guy in an enclosure being hand fed in Bud and the other lions are out there in the wild fighting each other.

You can be a fan of Bud and still be like “Wake me up when he gets even a top 5 WW.”

Kell Brook wasnt even a top 5 guy at 54...

The only knock on Canelo is that he can’t fight more than one guy at once. For every good fight he gives us, there’s 3 more we want to see him in.

Same for Spence now. He’s going on his third top 5 WW in the last few years.

Thurman has fought Danny, Pacquiao, Porter.

Porter has fought Spence, Danny, and Thurman.

Danny has fought Porter and Thurman.

Pacquiao needs not be mentioned.

Mind you this is all in the last few years.

Bud has had like 4-5 fights at WW. Never against a top dog.

I never realised Canelo fans hated him. PBC fans obviously hate any threat to a PBC fighter, they can't just support their fighters they feel the need to hate on everybody else. It's just what they do.

It’s not really hatred of Bud but it’s the circumstances surrounding everything. I don’t think anyone is afraid of anyone but because of the boxing Cold War it forces people to pseudo take sides.

Ie I like PBC and I like Bud but Espn( Bradley in particular) are annoying blaming only one side for what’s happening when Spence called out Bob to his face about it and he played dumb. Personally I blame HBO.

It’s definitely not hate towards Crawford.
As a Canelo fan, I think I just take exception to people saying he’s P4P #1 over Canelo.
Not with that resume. His best win is Horn and he’s in his 30’s.
He made the decision to sign with Top Rank and make it difficult to make the fights people want to see him in.
He’s a great fighter no doubt but he really needs to step up his competition or he’ll be another “what if” guy.

there are only a small handful of fighters I ever truly disliked

one is a dirty de****able glove-loading cheat...

one had a style I found awful to watch, and whenever he was interviewed he always came across like a real nasty bastard...

one is a total hypejob who spent his entire career lying to his fans and avoiding difficult opponents...

and the other one that comes to mind... I have actually warmed to over the last couple of years, despite the fact that he has the shlttiest fanbase in boxing EVER

aaah, ok... the P4P thing... where Canelo fans get shirty with Crawford because many rank bud higher than the red kid

I rate Crawford higher P4P, always have... but I like Canelo better because of his style

they are both excellent fighters, no idea why people get so hung up on P4P
