I read that the contract had a clause saying that disputes would go to mediation first, then to arbitration, if mediation didn't resolve the issue.
Hopefully, the mediating judge will look at the contract and tell Wilder that he doesn't have a skinny leg to stand on, and that will be the end of it. But if bird legs does have a case, and it goes to arbitration, the outcome of that process would be legally binding.
Warren and Arum seem confident that the contract has expired and Fury can move on with his career. Let's hope they are right.
Imo, they are right, and this drama is just Wilder looking for some shit to feed to his idiot fans and give himself some fake credibility going forward. We'll find out soon enough.Comment

and another thing this fight has been on offer for wilder for over 8 months and a date was agreed for December with no word from wilder.....this was on wilders back not fury’s and in your eyes it’s ok to keep a world champion in limbo and no idea whether this fight was ever going to take place.
This wilders own doing and if this fight don’t take place it’s because of wilder and his disappearance act and it’s not right to make a world champion sit idle which is what wilder has done and is doingComment

Very simple: Tyson Fury either has to fight Wilder or pay Wilder substantially if he fights someone else.
Or retire.

Both parties have to agree , the mediator cannot enforce it . It only becomes binding when both parties sign an agreement.
By definition: Mediation is first and foremost a non-binding procedure. ... The non-binding nature of mediation means also that a decision cannot be imposed on the parties. In order for any settlement to be concluded, the parties must voluntarily agree to accept it.Comment
