Dont mention dead man Oscar was a big win, on paper yes it was huge, in the real world anybody from 140 to 147 would have beat the hell out of Oscar that night.

Oscar weighin at 145 lbs, gained only 2 pounds in 30hrs, had IVs and Manny out weighed him fight night, come on is what it is Pscar was ruined on the scales, totally ruined, is what it is dont leave it out.

But I am sure you think 42 old Pacquiao would be a big win for Crawford.

That’s a sad perspective. I don’t see any legitimacy in it as winning for EVERY FIGHTER equals more money.

I have always give props to Manny the fighter, he is a ATG and current WC and is a great win for any WW in the game.

You guys flip flop either side of the fence whenever it suits, Manny is a great fighter how the fck can a fan lower his stock as much as you do, age has nothing to do with why I think TC will stop him.

Manny is great he holds a title says he wants to fight them well dont blow sunshine support him, you guys have more crutches than a hospital.

Haye was so shot at 37 he lost to Bellew.
Sergio Martinez was shot at 37 and lost to Cotto.
Cotto himself was shot at 37 and lost to Sadam Ali.
              GGG seems shot at 38.
Ali and Leonard were shot after 35.
Floyd had to retire at 38 after Berto
Even a great heavyweight like Wlad couldn't be successful after 39.

Yet Pacquiao, who has taken more punishment than any of the above, is still beating guys like Thurman at the age of 40.

He's still universally recognized as an elite top 3 Welterweight today.

              How?
              What about Foreman?

I'm not one of these Pacquiao apologists. Definitely something was up back when he first got asked to do ped testing and he had every excuse under the sun to not do it.

But Pacquiao is very much out of his prime and isn't a truly elite fighter.

Styles make fights and Thurman's vs Pacquiao's played into Pacquiao's style. Against a different kind of boxer, Pacquiao could very well have been iced (see: Marquez)

But anyways. Pacquiao isn't prime and isn't necessarily "elite" so much as just still a dog ready to scrap. He is still present mentally and that counts for a lot.

Put him in with Porter, Spence, or Crawford and threads like these probably don't get made.

It is a big win for Crawford.

But not because Pacquiao is the best boxer in the world, so to speak.

But because Crawford literally doesn't fight anyone on that level. Regardless of Horn's result vs Pac.

Im a big Manny fan but dont see Oscar has one of his biggest win. It was blown up by the media and Oscar tried to cherrypick the smaller man but it turned against him. Oscar was f#cked... Its his own fault but he was drained indeed

Joshua diving for Ruiz made the rematch a whole lot more lucrative.
