Yeah. I would say Undisputed would be the closest thing to a proper world champion

I’ve said this for a while now, but the best way for there to be consistent Undisputed champions again is to have unified mandatories like they did in the 80s and 90s

The onus shouldn’t be on the champion to face 4 mandatories a year. Instead mandatories should be established for the Undisputed championship once a year through eliminators.. WBC mandatory vs IBF mandatory etc

But good luck as the WBA/WBC have viciously corrupted their mandatory system

The more belts the better in my opinion.

People will always complain, even if there was 1 belt per division 'Because that is what people do'.
How is it better? That you have a world championship fight every weekend between two guys who aren't even top 5?

Exactly, the reason why the match ups are now so poor is because there is too many options.
If there is one champion the best have to match up and you get contenders fighting legit fight to move up, the champ having to fight his real mandatories.
That’s how a real competitive sport works.

Exactly right if you did have one legit honest authority can you imagine the sort of fights that could be made. Constantly. It would blow our minds.

If there was one champion in each division they sure as hell wouldnt be dropping the belt if the mandatory was too tough.

Translation: Give Devin Haney every belt from minimum to heavy.
