Espn said during the Loma-Lopez telecast that this fight was on. So they did promote this fight during that telecast.
Coppinger: Rift Growing Between Crawford and Top Rank

Crawford just did an interview with Bryant Custer and I wasn’t impressed at all with what he said. Most boxing fans have no idea how much better Canelo is to Crawford. It isn’t about “athleticism” or style, many elites will have variance, so it should really and only be about who you beat. When Crawford was trying to justify his stance as being above Spence he said, “I’ve beat 7 Champions...went up in weight.. undisputed...”
As Bud listed the Champions he beat I was almost snoozing compared to the guys Canelo fought. He says Burns or Indongo in a tone for some stepping stone, even Horn.
With that being said, if he truly feels he’s P4P #1 while boasting about those names then it makes me believe he’s just hiding at 147 and angry that he hasn’t made a huge purse even in the range of Jacobs’ check against Canelo.
He should just go to DAZN. He could probably make PAC vs CrawfordComment

The independence route is interesting. I was hoping Canelo would do that and he is, but he's the cash cow and able to pull it off. Can Crawford do the same? If he can, that would be awesome. Can get the winner of Taylor/Ramirez and then potentially Spence. But do you see Arum giving him the winner of Taylor/Ramirez without him signing an extension? That's hard to see.Comment
