Show bud there's levels to this. Brook might be passed best but champs always have a last great hurrah or last performance. Or in pac s case a great 5 or 6 great performances at end of career and past prime.

Why does everytime one of the Brits fights an American, they always compare it to Lacy-Calzaghe? None of those Brits compared have ever been anywhere as good as Calzaghe and none of the Americans compared have ever been near as bad and overrated as Lacy. They needa let that nonsense go. It's like it's hung onto for some sense of superiority over Americans. That ish lame af. Like both guys, but Crawford gonna do a job on Brook. Simple as that.

is jermain taylor a great fighter too? he beat hopkins as well and a lot clearer than calzaghe who really didnt land anything clean and ran into clean shots for most of the fight. should have been a loss but i understand money had to be made on promoting calzaghe since hbo was hyped on him or maybe the judges just suck doenst really matter. his body of work is pretty thin. leonards body of work proved he was great and he did most of it in like a 3 year span. ill take that over 15 years of bum fights and 2 good fights at the end

Calzaghe being a slapper is what most hold against him. It is very similar to my viewpoint of Floyd Mayweather in his later years as a fighter. Still I believe Floyd was a great fighter as well.

thats about all they have in common.

Calzaghe was undefeated and didnt have his face broken twice or known for having to make massive cuts to make weight.


All Crawford has to do is get physically ready, unless he has an injury or is physically ill, he wins this fight easily, there is no real strategy or planning he needs to do, he is better in everyway over current kell brook who was only decent in his prime but now shot

it didnt completely miss. it landed well low and he had already been warned about going low so hopkins tried to milk it and get points taken off. so? he still won the fight clearly since he landed way better punches. calzaghe got rocked and turned his back away from hopkins at two points in the fight. so what? guess hopkins won because of that? no he won becasue he landed better punches and barely got hit with anything clean

It’s an inferiority complex so many British lower class males, sports fans, have with America. And it tends to be English (Calzaghe is Welsh) more so than the Scots, Ulstermen, and the Welsh. It’s just as simple as that, an inferiority complex. They see that fight as one of the few victories......and you just can’t tell them that Lacey wasn’t highly regarded, I guess that mucks with the fantasy

It's sad bc I like alot of the Brits. I understand that Lacy was the favorite, but(at least to me at the time) always thought Calzaghe's style was gonna be a nightmare for Lacy. Proved to be even worse that I thought. Lacy had power, but that was pretty much it. He was never really impressive IMO.

I don't hold it against Fury and he can slap with the best of them, has some pretty good chin hold moves too.
