And then there's the possibility of him overtraining.

    Too many variables.
really? damn, that is f up.

Uh oh. The odds just spiked back to a completely unreasonable 22-TO-1 that Crawford beats Brook.

To me Brook looked physically drained and lethargic in the final press conference. I expected him to look that way on the day of the weigh-in, not this early on. I think he's weak because of cutting weight to 147 and he's feeling the effects early. There is a risk he's going to be weight-drained so he won't be able to take much damage from Crawford, his punch resistance will be severely reduced which means the fight could end before the first half is over, simply due to Brook being drained at the weight. He hasn't fought at 147 for nearly 3 years so it's a serious factor to consider. See Pac vs De La Hoya for example. If he isn't weight drained though, he does have a shot at causing the upset . He was an A-Level fighter with decent power not so long ago.

Anyway maybe the odds fluctuated when people saw Brook looking gaunt and weak at the presser?

Probably. Against Zerafa he clearly overtrained and while still skilled, it was harder work than it needed to be.

His trainer said it was the pressure. Which will be in play again here.

Brook's problems are going to be 1) how does his face hold up and 2) does he have the stamina. He should be strong early

Brooks is a great athlete. He will of course look impressive as far as his physique but I still think he's damage goods at this point. I hope I'm wrong though because I like to see a great competitive fight. Kell is highly skilled, quick and got a good punch.

Kell is always in good fighting shape

Doesn't mean shlt once punches are thrown.

Brook is at this point Is a natural 154-160 pounder. 147 is just too small for him. He has one hell of a work ethic though. I just think this weight class whips him before he gets in the ring. I also think his face structure just can’t hold up for some weird reason. Medical condition?
