Go it alone, what amazes me is the greed in regards to his opponents. They turning down the sort of offers that am hearing is crazy. Would he be able to offer them even more now?

You should see BJS’ latest interview. He sounds depressed. Opportunistic Remorse! He even said Murray beat Sturm and Sergio Martinez to try and justify his upcoming Murray fight. This is the same BJS that fled the original Murray fight date. This guy has no class, ******, can’t trust

Canelo needs to make a deal with one of the promoters. All the networks are taken and solely dedicated to particular promotions. He can't negotiate with any network straight and alone. He's not that big.

Not that big? You kidding? He’s the absolute biggest name, biggest draw, biggest money in boxing. I’m quite certain any network will coming crawling on hands and knees to speak with him about carrying his next fight.

Canelo is bigger than Mikey Garcia Promotions. Mikey yo-yos around different platforms and promoters, Haymon/Hearn. If ESPN werent exclusive to Top Rank, Mikey would fight there too one off deals.

Canelo just needs a co-promoter for one off deals for Mexican holidays. That’s very practical for Canelo Promotions since for the moment it’s just him fighting off his brand and not reppin a pool fighters. It means before the Mexican dates Canelo’s following are marketed the promotions with ease. The networks will bid in advance for May and September, priority over any other fighter.

I would go with Plant and Benavidez at 168 and Bivol and Beterbiev at 175.

Well, if he plans to fight guys like Callum or Saunders, he will need the help of other companies. These are not big enough fights.

Canelo is a greedy fool. A talented one for sure, but he just shot himself in the foot for the sake of his ego.

We all know he would have cruised to a decision over GGG, dispatched with certainty almost any opponent Dazn put in front of him.

Now he wants to take on the added responsibility of promoter, negotiator, manager, without the family and people Floyd had around him when he broke free.

He's made a ****** decision IMO, but something tells me he'll walk in Floyd's shadow, continuing to pick opponents on the slide, but who still have enough draw to make the PPV numbers.

What a greedy bugger. He would have been happier being a Don in one of the Mexican cartels.

The most money will be made off a deal with pbc that enables him to be advised by haymon and fight under the pbc umbrella for big ppv’s on the Mexican holidays for FOX. Showtime works but it just doesn’t have the resources behind it unless they are talking about putting him on CBS which is the parent company of showtime. More ppvs will be sold via access to free air waves such as FOX or CBS. The tie in programming that we see on FOX for instance would make the fighter even bigger.
And it’s not lost on me that we will see the biggest fight of the year between a pale red headed Mexican and a dark blonde hair blue eyed AMERICAN Caleb Plant, who has done good numbers on FS1 and FOX. Plant is highly charismatic and has a sad underdog from the trailer park story that blue collar white Americans love and has the swagger of a black American since that’s the demographic he grew up around. His style is even that of a black American fighter. Plant is EXTREMELY intelligent and quit witted and will sell the fight well in press conferences. I’d Canelo gets past plant, and there a big off given plant’s skills, 5 inch height advantage, youth, and the style to absolutely frustrate Canelo, then there is Benevidez which would be a massive PPV on ok Cinco de Drinko. And after that, Chris Eubank and Jermall Charlo. PBC could keep Canelo busy for the next 2 to 2.5 years on PPV alone. Between that, like JC Chavez did, some defences against regular contender types on free tv, bolstering his boxing royalty status to the general American sports fan.
