The title makes it sound a bit weak but if you read his full comments he makes some pretty fair points. It didn't go how he wanted, he admits.

Probably should have gone with a different comment that fighters say when they don't stop someone they claimed they would stop like, "it's hard to KO a guy who's just looking to survive".

Regardless if it's true or not, it gives the impression he was going for it. Kind of important when you proclaim before the fight that you are going to punish and stop your opponent.

I think Haney is a good fighter and not stopping Gamboa doesn't necessarily mean he can't beat the other top guys. It does indicate that he's probably not gonna get alot of stoppages at the elite level however.

This fight was extremely pointless.... It's one thing to fight a washed up ex champ for experience.

But to fight said washed up guy right after he just got knocked out by another young guy.

Then bring up how u was the only to take no damage after mentioning destroying him is not a good look lol

The only purpose of the fight was to get a highlight reel KO and they got nothing


Gamboa just had ankle surgery, he falls down getting out of bed, but he took Haneys power punches flush off the chin.
