Canelo has become one of the most arrogant fighters in boxing. He's not the number 1 pound, for pound, there are a few more deserving fighters than him. He hasn't fought in the ring in over a year, then in his return fight he wanted to fight a unknown fighter for 35,000,000.00. He has a very good record, but I thought he lost both fights with GGG. After the second fight, which was a grueling battle for both. He didn't look like he wanted to go through that hell a third time. So he fought other fighters, and in so doing he didn't live up to the contract that he signed with DAZN. He knew that DAZN wanted that third fight with GGG, so that they can get a return on their investment. I was looking forward to that trilogy but he cheated the boxing fanatics of that anticipated war. Now it looks like the only person that he's hurting is himself. Time will tell if he made the right decision, or a colossal mistake.

Bad move sticking with DAZN, they already proved they can't be trusted to honor their own contract. More people are going to cancel their subscriptions after this announcement.

DAZN needs to lower their price to 9.99 a month and 79.99 annually. They don't have the roster to justify their current price.

GB should look for an alternate broadcaster than can give more exposure to their rising stars, Vergil and Ryan.

DAZN almost immediately regretted spending so much on him even though he is the only fighter that brought in viewers and subscriptions. DAZN seemed to have a disdain for Canelo ever since signing him. He was not treated like the star he is by DAZN. Does anyone think De La Hoya or Mayweather in their primes would of been treated so poorly? Instead DAZN backed an over the hill GGG who refused to fight anyone with a pulse. It just makes no sense the way DAZN handled its boxing program. They had the biggest star in the sport. A star Showtime or ESPN would beg to have. The only one who could generate big viewer numbers and more subscriptions yet they treated him as if he had the plague.

Well, he can now face who he wants, but the good fighters that I would like to see him face are aligned with DAZN such as Saunders and Smith. As for Charlo he is afraid to fight Canelo and he is content with fighting C level fighters so I do not see that fight happening anytime soon. I cancelled my DAZN sub long ago.

I wouldn't worry I hear seriously Haymon is going to start his own PBC world championship belts (no joke), PBC American born fighters only, all fights in the USA (ok American champions never fight abroad anyway) minimum 100 dollar PPV's in small halls so normal service will be resumed soon anyway.

If Canelo is a free agent what could possibly stop a long awaited showdown with Jermall Charlo? This fight needs to happen and now there are no network barriers.

Charlo does not want to fight Canelo. He is content fighting C level fighters and being a big fish in a small pond. He had a lot of trouble with Derevyanchenko which does not bold well for him being competitive with Canelo. Well it does not matter because Charlo will not fight Canelo.

Name those fighters you speak of that have a better resume than CaneloTo be considered P4P best? Of course he made the right decision, DAZN is not going to last much longer, I expect other guys like Ortiz and Garcia to follow suit, DAZN gives fighters no exposure, Fox or ESPN will do much better.
