He shouldn’t sign any long term deals right now, covid throws everything up in there.
Should Canelo Even Sign With a Network?

Push it back to January? Ok that’s plausible.Oh no, Spence vs DSG will definitely be PPV. They would just push it back to January.
But I don't think they are two totally different audiences to be honest.
Will be interesting to see the fallout from this. Does Jacobs stick with DAZN? He has one fight left on his deal. How about Andrade? GGG? Canelo leaving should actually make it easier to make GGG vs Andrade.
I think there is plenty cross over but imo it’s an easy coast fight and a west coast fight, which is a good thing.
Maybe Fox throws canelo a ****load and he fights on regular Fox?Comment

How long before GGG gets his contract cut up by DAZN as well and he starts sniffing Canelo's ass again looking for a payday?Comment

FOX and ESPN have conference championship games that day. I think better chance SHO may put it on. But hard to see Canelo off of PPV.Comment

Absolutely not.
Do it on a fight by fight basis. Control everything. Create a bidding war. He can do smaller fights on network TV to boost his mainstream appeal. Bigger fights on Showtime or ESPN. Whoever ponies up more.Comment

Guys, Canelo will still be fighting on DAZN in December.
DAZN is starting their Global Launch in December. They need Canelo’s introduction for this premier debut in 200 markets
Canelo will probably fight a Matchroom fighter, maybe Smith or BJS. The reason why Plant is being thrown out there by Team Canelo is to see which network will fork up a guarantee + PPV. DAZN will have to match that.
Canelo wins again. If ESPN are truly desperate to push their boxing they might offer Canelo a super deal, limited, but just as good as the first Canelo contract. It will be DAZN vs ESPN bidComment
