Joyce really needs a new promoter. All Warren ever talks about is Dubois.
Comments Thread For: Dubois' Promoter Has No Issue Doing Usyk Fight Next

Voluntarily - he won't, but if AJ vacates and Usyk wants to fight for WBO belt, Usyk might not have a chance, but to fight Dubois since he is ranked no.2 by WBO.Comment

Agreed and he's not even trying to hide how much he is rooting for Dubois. I understand it - Dubois is the future of the HW division whereas Joyce, at 35, fights his last 4-6 fights. One thing Warren doesn't seem to fully understand is that once Dubois start getting really noticed, he might jump ship and come over to Hearn. In fact, I wouldn't even be very surprised that Fury will do the same in a year or two - join Matchroom, unless he retires. And for the same reason: Hearn is the future of boxing, Warren - its past.Comment

Usyk would handle DDD more comfortably then he did delboy... delboy brought that relentless pressure and is famous looping overhand right all night... DDD is more of conventional type of boxer... works behind the jab to set things up... this would come down to skill vs skill... usyk has too much experience to not know how to outbox ddd from the outside all night long.Comment

America is waging a war in intellect, you can't just use words like Skulduggery and Spanner. You might hurt a lot of little brains, people might even need to look that up and the hospitals are full of the fake virus.
The pandemic of proper English has begun and you are the cause. When the far right reacts there will be no toilet paper.
Thanks proper English dude
BTW, I love that word Skulduggery, great word.Comment

Dubois has to get by Joyce first which is no gimme. Joyce has beaten Bryant Jennings (close fight). He beat a fat former champion in Stiverne & former fringe contender Ustinov. He also beat tough journeyman Iago Kiladze. Throw in Joe Hanks, David Allen conquerer Lenroy Thomas & Ian Lewison. Those are decent names on the resume for only 11 pro fights. We know he is big with a good engine. He comes forward aggressively & throws lots of punches. Dubois beat Kevin Johnson, Cojanu & Gorman which are decent wins but the rest are the usual British trialhorses & bloated record Fujimoto. Dubois hasn’t beaten anyone above Kevin Johnson who is really just a survivor in his fights for the most part. He is untested really so Joyce is a step up in class. Usyk could be next if Joshua beats Pulev & vacates. Dubois can’t be looking ahead because if Joyce beats him then Usyk will be fighting Joseph Parker instead as long as he gets past Fa.Comment

I'd be down for this. I think Dubois is a better yardstick for how Usyk might handle Joshua than Chisora. If Usyk wins well he gets to silence some doubters, if Dubois wins, it's a huge scalp for a hungry young fighter looking to step up to elite level.
Like others have said, he can't afford to look past Joyce. I think he'll beat Joyce, but not if he's careless or overconfident. Not that I think he will be, he doesn't seem like he has that kind of personality.Comment

Warren must be crapping his pants at the thought of Dubois facing Parker.
Parker would school him and flatten him.
It's so much easier to manipulate rankings than to actually beat the guy in front of you.
Dubois number 2 based on who he's fought...lolComment

I think Usyk would be foolish to even consider that fight. He needs to go straight for the brass ring, any number of these big hard punching heavies could short circuit Usyk's quest. Dubois has just too much height and reach for a fighter that has to bridge that gap a hundred or more times without getting caught to win. If he were bringing enough power to command Dubois' respect it would be different but Usyk is no Mike Tyson.
Dubois, on the other hand, is no cinch to beat Joyce anyway.Comment
