Hearn didn't pick Povetkin as an opponent for Whyte. I remember him saying that several times after the fight was announced. I also remember Dillian saying that he asked Eddie to get Povetkin for him because he wanted a challenge and a fight his fans could get excited about.

Commercially Whyte vs Fury is possibly the easiest and biggest fight they can make etc
