No, I don't believe that and neither has Wilder said that. He just said that he could no longer trust Mark Breland that's all.

He had instructed his entire team for the past five years to never throw in the towel no matter what and Wilder felt both hurt and betrayed by Breland for ignoring his wishes.

However, I agree that he can't go around making false and defamatory statements against Mark Breland though. Right now Wilder is just operating off of raw nerves because Fury played him for a fool by walking away from the rematch.
