Is Wilder ducking AJ the first self-admitted duck in history?

    serious question

even Rid**** Bowe, although his actions pointed at him ducking Lennox, he never self-admitted it

Wilder literally self-admitted that he ducked Joshua, is this a new precedent? I wonder if he knew it or was just a result of his ******itiy that he didn't recognize he was admitting that he ducked AJ

Well, BJS admitted to not being ready for GGG some years ago.

Caleb Plant has been doing his best to justify the duck vs Canelo. Every time he tries to explain it it gets worse. The new one is that training is too hard or some crap.

Deontay took a calculated risk. Thought Fury was done and that he was better than he is. Blew up in his face.

Wilder tried to hide the duck, got a bunch of moronic racists on YouTube to make videos of it and then made a fool out of all them by coming out and admitting it.

No I saw Foreman openly duck Shavers ,however it was more in jest . I’ve never seen a champion however duck another . You could make a case for .Bowe with Lewis I guess ? But admitting taking a fight for less ? No .

It's one of very few I tell you that.

He rambles so it's not always clear.

If he was talking about taking the first Fury fight instead of Joshua then it's a massive duck. He claimed he wanted it, claimed Joshua's team wasn't making real offers and now he's undone all that talk.

If he was talking about the rematch, then I don't think you can call that a duck. But it does disprove his and Shelly's comments about Hearn and Joshua.

Regardless, we now know for sure who was on the right side of history on the Joshua/Hearn v Wilder/Shelly debates. Joshua and Hearn were trying to get the fight on - Wilder and Shelly were lying to the boxing public.

It’s by a mile because it happened multiple times and the fact that he had been a pro twice as long as Josh. Heck, Josh started boxing when Wilder turned pro...let that sink in.

George Foreman has claimed that his people called Tyson's people to ask about a fight, Tyson wanted nothing to do with it, and George was relieved. So they sort of ducked each other. This was during Foreman's second title reign and after Tyson got out of jail.

Anyone actually paying attention at the time should have known, it was that obvious. Turning down meetings, demanding acceptance within 24 hours without seeing a contract, there was never any mystery as to which side prevented that fight from getting made. You don't turn down $100M+ and the shot at undisputed without even negotiating if you like your chances.

Not saying it couldn't have worked out for Wilder, he thought he could get Fury underprepared, he was wrong and has paid the price, big time and Joshua lost in the meantime also, but the fact is the Joshua Wilder fight wasn't made because of Wilders side, even he has now admitted it, end of story.
