Is Usyk an exceptional boxer? Of course...however name for me one successful Heavyweight champion in the history of boxing that wasn’t also a KO beast. There hasn’t been any....other than maybe Spinks (we saw how long that lasted until he met an actual KO artist). There will never be a “pure boxer” HW champion that doesn’t posses KO power. Its never happened and Usyk won’t be the one to do it either. No one is afraid of his power at HW. Chisora was easy to dodge. Wait until he faces a HW that doesn’t throw looping wild shots.
As to his gas tank? Wait until he faces an actual skilled HW that can corner him and then lay on him for 8 rounds with all his weight. Think the man will have that same gas tank? This isn’t CW. These are 240+ lb men.

This article is utter nonsense! As were the scorecards. Chisora won 3 rounds, 4 at max. Usyk came out unscathed, while Chisora looked like he had been in a rollercoaster ride for 6 hours.Comment

They've probably got too used to Wilder ducking everybody and fighting C level opponents, now they think that's what boxing is

Ali and Holmes weren’t knockout monsters they did achieve knockouts by volume however . Usyk basically is doing the same thing but he can’t handle even bigger heavyweights? You guys can’t have it both ways and claim he needs to be a k.o beast ,that doesn’t add up . Usyk has like a fraction of heavyweights they fought as well ,using who he hasn’t knocked out is a true moving the goal post move .Last edited by REDEEMER; 11-02-2020, 07:45 PM.Comment

I believe folks aren’t getting what I’m stating. Every HW world Champion had power. Usyk does not at HW. Ali KOd elite boxers Liston, Patterson, Prime Foreman. 37 of the 56 wins were by KO he had great power. Holmes should have stopped boxing in his 88 loss to Tyson. Up to that point he’d had 48 fights and 33 KOs. Age caught the better of him and as he stretched his career in later years so too went his power.Ali and Holmes weren’t knockout monsters they did achieve knockouts by volume however .
