Holyfield might feel ashamed that he became heavyweight champion of the world while juiced up to the gills. Now, maybe he wants to try to become heavyweight champion of the world with no chemical assistance.

Four-time heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield weighed in at the CRUISERWEIGHT limit for his return to the ring against Jeremy Bates Friday night in Dallas. The "Real Deal" tipped the scales at a svelte 200 pounds Thursday. Bates pushed the American Airlines Center scale to 225 ½ pounds.
jeez,,,he;s thinner than me now. are you sure he weighed in at only 200 lbs? if so,,,,he had to have been on steroids throught his career. he didnt have hardly any bodyfat and weighed in the 215 lb range for years

Holyfield said he would like to complete his comeback by 2008 and feels he'll be within reach of a title by next year. He also said Hasim Rahman's recent loss to Oleg Maskeav was not an upset, merely a gutsy late-fight victory for the Russian champion from New York. There is not much chance he'll take on any former high profile opponents in the foreseeable future, saying a fight with Rid**** Bowe or Mike Tyson would be a step backward, and that he would only fight them for a title.

I like Holyfield at 200lbs. He looks sleek. I hope it ups his mobility. But if he loses now then he should retire.
