    He just didn't need all of his tools most of the time, and thus relied on his athleticism and explosiveness to get it done and in spectacular fashion. He just wasn't smart enough to figure out once he couldn't move like he used to, that he needed to fight more conservatively and economically. Probably just too proud to keep his hands up and go back to jabbing and controlling the center of the ring instead of still trying to keep his lead hand low and move like he can still slip anything.

    Tyson was fundamentally sound and a beautiful boxer in his own right but I'd consider RJJ more skilled, even though when they fight, I'd be surprised if RJJ looks better than Tyson.

      Roy is no dummy. I think it was a combination of pride and stubbornness as to why he didn't adjust.
