I'm not paying for any PPV fights any more. They made all the money they were going to make off of me. I canceled my Show time, and DAZN subscriptions. The only subscription I currently have is ESPN+, and a cable sports channel bundle, which includes ESPN, MSG, MSG+, SNY, FS1, and FS2. Thats all the boxing I'm paying for, and the moment I can get rid of cable, I will. I remember it was the Tyson phenomenon that brought about PPV. No one is as explosive as Mike Tyson was, and no one is worth PPV money like Tyson was.

It DOES work on lower level events, such as ESPN, Telemundo, and the Fox cards. But not for the top level shows. And if not for covid, and them really needing some content, ESPN would have never spent the money for Loma-Lopez
Idk if this is even possible & I'm pretty confident it isn't & I'm sure the infrastructure isn't in place for this, but from what you're saying it sounds the ideal way to sell boxing ads would be live basically.

Like you'd auction off the ads before & during the first round & if we get through the first round the money is exchanged & the winning bidders ad plays. So on & so forth for however long the fight goes.

Timeliness would be of the utmost importance with something like this, but it seems like it could be the best possible way to maximize revenue for the biggest boxing events on regular TV.

Until Tanks fights start making any sense and he decides what division he is in and looks to make an impact on that division Im not really interested in him. Im much more excited to watch Inoue fight tonight.

But thats my choice, if ppl wana splash the cash to watch Tank fight then good luck to him as a PPV attraction.

Good points. But I'm buying the fight. You watch tomorrow headlines and realize you missed out on a GREAT fight. Leo can scrap and just outside p4p top 10.

Tank is highly skilled as well

Ellerbe and Mayweather are stuck in the Stone Age. PPV is dead, you need to adapt.

Fury/Wilder did over a million buys earlier this year and the UFCs buyrates are as big as they've ever been.

I know that was a stacked card, and I was not disappointed!

I think it’s premature to write off the Ppv model.

I think it’s premature to decide Tank is only a ppv fighter. This fight might not sell that much.

As for the fight, I’m glad Tank made 130. That saves us from having to see the forum flooded with crap from the haters.

Should be a real good fight tonight.

Come on Leo, pull the upset.
