He seems to be satisfied with nice Top rank paydays while fighting mediocre fighters.

Brook is actually a big step up for him.

He should move to 154 and fight for titles there if he can`t get Spence or Pacquiao.

I guess he has no ambition at all.

Difference is Spence will have already beaten a broken but drastically better version of Brook, Porter, and Danny (if he won). All top 5 WWs at the time.

As good a win as that Thurman win was for Pac, I still dont see him as top 3. Thurman just isn’t the same human imo and this comes from a borderline Pac AND Thurman nut hugger.

Bud has stopped everyone he’s supposed to have stopped. He’s doing what he’s supposed to be doing against that level of comp. but it’s 4 in a row of that level of comp already. Not only that, you gotta go like 3, 4, 5 more fight before that to find what people consider a real deal fighter in Postol.

So yes, doing what he’s supposed to be doing...against REALLY dodgy comp.

Ffs, he fought Amir Khan recently.

The entire division is fighting each other except one man. I’ve been saying Bud is a stud for a long time now but we gotta call it how it is. I wouldn’t say it’s ducking...but I’m sure signing with Top Rank was an easy choice to make and one he DEFINITELY knew the consequences of.

If this were a different division or person... you’d be dangerously close to being called a paper champ when you consider who everyone in your division has fought.

Watch if Bob Arum was to tell Crawford we cant pay you 6 million for Brooks you getting 300K, watch how quickly crawford finds that hunger to start fighting real names again.
LMAO Holy crap, is that really what he's getting paid? No wonder he doesn't care about fighting real competition, not even high level UFC guys who are famous and fighting killers continuously make that amount of money.

Its something like that. he got 5.5 million for Khan, 4 million for Egis, Brook is going be 5 million at least.

I am almost certain I read somewhere that Crawford guarantee was supposed to be 6 Million per fight right before the pandemic happened but now since the pandemic did happen he most likely had to take a lil paycut but he still getting way above top dollar for his fights. Good for him bad for the sport.

Now with NSAC not requiring to disclose purse amounts no more, we might not know this info anymore.

his opposition has been atrocious and hes not fought anyone above C level for as long as i can remember, he wouldnt be in the top 10 let alone top 3 p4p if he wasnt american. a couple of the c level fighters at welter gave him problems too, hes not even been looking great against them.

fascinating Crawford is a very good fighter

But how does he have the following to get paid several mil per fight. Neither Crawford nor his opponents are instantly recognizable names by the average sports fan

Its a strategic ploy by Top Rank, they rather overpay him and keep him happy than to lose him to haymon etc.

Top Rank gets 100 Million a year from ESPN to spend on his fights/fighters, He roughly gives Crawford 12 million a year, but even after that he still has alot of money left to pay all his other fighters etc. Not to mention it doesn't matter if he overpays crawford it's still win-win for Bob Arum beacuse he gets his 19% promoter fee* from it regardless so the more he pays out to the fighters the more he makes. between Loma and Crawford they probably take up to 20 Million a year from Bob Arum Top rank 100 million, that leaves arum with 80 million so you see how easy it is to over pay a fighter to keep him happy.

*I dont know the actual % fee he takes

                  You know it's funny.

You post this, telling the same truths about Crawford that I've said for months now. Yet people say I'm just a hater.

                  Seems legit

Put it this way, 99% of people on this board would do what Crawford would if given the choice. Easy fights for good paydays. It sucks for viewers though watching his mismatches.
