Matchroom has put on some good fights but if you look at that list it's 8 guys. The best card in the last while for HWs was Ruiz/Joshua 2. Whyte/Wach, Povetkin/Hunter, Hrgovic/Molina. I want more cards like that. Personally in the 90s there was lots of names in my opinion plus the second tier top 11-25 all mixed it up too. Don King had a bigger role then & his cards were pretty solid when HWs were involved. Everyone fought each other to get in line for a shot at the big 3 Tyson, Holyfield Lewis). Even if they didn't have a belt you were getting paid. Joshua is the cash now. Klitschko before him but in the 90s Tyson & Holyfield fights were on PPV. The undercards would always have important HW fights. HBO had boxing after dark which showcased lots of HW fights. There were a few fights that never happened (Lewis/Bowe) & a few that happened too late (Tyson/Lewis in early 2000s). The 90s era of fighters went into the early 2000s. I call 2004 on AL (After Lennox). I live in Canada so I have to find fights on the internet now. Most of the top HWs are in europe. I get the PBC & odd ESPN cards but not too many good HW fights on those platforms as you said. Most of the fights I see now I already know the result. I try to avoid seeing the results in Europe before finding them on the internet but not always successful as many get blocked on youtube & dailymotion.

i forgot to mention Bakole...and Bakole vs Hunter which was a nice fight.
Bakole may be a bit of a new guy but he is actually quality. I hope to see him mixing it with the top names too.

unlike a lot of fanboys, i dont care if a guy loses to another top guy. like bakole lost to hunter, so what? hunter learned his lessob from the usyk fight, obv worked a lot on his conditioning and then completely outworked Bakole. Bakole is young and has time to improve.
i would prefer Tyson Fury vs Hunter over the other options he's got right now. Ruiz vs Hunter is a fking good fight too man.



I was looking at pbc not long ago

they had Wilder, Ruiz, Ortiz, Ajagba, Yoka and Joe Joyce
there are plenty of other options for them eg they could easily do business with Frank warren for Dubois if they wanted.

basically that stable there was good enough to carry them in the HW division for the next 2-3 yrs.
it didnt need to be about belts..the fights are total no brainers.

imagine right now on Tank's card, we had a co-main event fight of Tony Yoka vs Hunter
but as if al haymon would give us that. so conveniently let go of yoka and ajagba.

what ive noticed is, eg with EH lettin go of Hunter, Wilder's loss has done a lot of damage to HW boxing in america.
i think only TR are looking for names for Tyson Fury over there because they've invested so much already.

next few yrs will be interesting though..
