Usyk v Chisora REMINDER CHISORA IS NOT A TOP 10

Before we get a sudden influx of borat style "ya very feel is nice" posts and the usual going waaaay overboard I feel the need to remind that Chisora A) has 9 losses including to Agit Kabayel, and is not a top 10 ranked fighter.

I'm just asking for a bit of context, don't start calling this guy the GOAT or #2 behind Ali if he beats journeyman Chisora.

    Thanks

Hes not top 10 but how his opponents perform against him is a good gauge of whether they're top 10 I think. We should have a pretty clear idea of whether Usyk is the real deal at HW or not after this.

Chisora is not top 10, but he is top 15. He is the third best win of Tyson Fury.

Very good win for Usyk, is he wins.

Exactly what most sane boxing fans have been saying all along but Matchroom fanboys was making out he was still something special.
I hope they're not going to flip flop now.

I don't expect to learn anything from this fight. If he can beat Hunter and Bredis he can beat 2020 Chisora.

          Theres bigger tests to come.

Ahead of Steve Cunningham? (I'm assuming you have Wlad & Wilder #1 and #2)

Maybe you are right. So he is N.4. on Fury`s resume.

Chisora is still top 15 man with decent wins over Takam, Szpilka, Price. Top guys all beat him, usyk also should.

It depends on the performance of Usyk. Chisora is having an Indian summer to his career where he's dedicating himself to keep getting the big fights and paydays that come with it, and his performances are a lot better because of it. He's a full blooded and aggressive heavyweight, so it's a different beast to what Usyk has faced in the pros. I know he has faced the likes of Joyce in WSB but it's not quite the same situation physically (Joe is far stronger than he used to be).

If Usyk knocks Chisora out and/or dominates him then it solidifies Usyk as the #3 HW in the world and moves him into elite tier with Fury and AJ. If he labours to a standard points win and shows vulnerability then you still put guys like Whyte and Ruiz Jr in the same tier as Usyk.

Reasonable step up which should give us more of a clue how Oleksandr fits into the HW landscape. No more no less.

Nobody really beats Chisora, without a bit of a struggle.

Only really Haye, Kiltschko and Fury put distance between themselves and Chisora etc

That ultimately should be Usyk's goal? To execute a good enough performance, so that there is clear distance between himself and Chisora.

If this fight is a almighty struggle 'Similar to Whyte vs Chisora I & II' That will be a objective that has not been executed by Usyk.

Big pressure on Usyk 'If Uysk comes into this fight, wanting to meet force with force? I can see a Hagler vs Hearns type duel' BUT of course that is not Usyk's style, he will try and be a physician.
