Comments Thread For: DAZN To Launch In 200-Plus Markets 12/1; To Offer Garcia-Campbell In UK 12/5

DAZN's delayed launch in 200-plus countries and territories has been rescheduled for December 1. The streaming service initially intended for this expansion to take place early in May, but it was pushed back due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The new launch date for its global app, which was announced Wednesday morning, will occur in time for DAZN to be the sole provider in the United Kingdom of the Ryan Garcia-Luke Campbell fight December 5.

$2.99 a month in Australia! So I'll get Joshua v Pulev for less than $3 when I would usually pay $50.

    What's not to like?

Told you guys months ago. DAZN would adjust its subscription fees worldwide to accommodate third world markets. All of the initial were first world territories, and the one specific market whom was in limbo was Brazil. I wonder if further adjustments will be made for that market.

But again, the OTT tech is valuable to new territories like Russia or the Philippines whom are heavy with boxing fans. With 4G becoming the base standard worldwide to 5G, you’ll start new gen Pinoy fans stream off their mobiles casually and everywhere. Apps been doing for years with football worldwide and now the technology is only getting better.

Be interesting to see what sort of content they get in the first 12 months in the UK.

Garcia v Campbell is a good start. I wonder whether Matchroom will jump from Sky straight away or keep their options open and wait until the DAZN subscribers reaches a certain threshold.

How can those prices be real lol.

The content is surely gonna be severely compromised especially somewhere like the UK.

I'm sure we'll get an interview with Adam Smith at some point. Will be interesting to get his take on it.

You would think it will be regular fights on DAZN, with PPV (or maybe even just Joshua) on Sky. Until those deals come up again.

                was just about to say.

They have no content to give, not even a back catalogue.

they need get football content but people are going to start saying enough is enough.

Joshua will be PPV in the UK regardless of DAZN

I'll be pissed if this ends up meaning that there's less boxing on Sky
