I’ve known friends that had last growth spurts at age 16 from lifting early in life . Mike also was a run freak ,running takes it toll on the legs and Cus used to have him jog with a heavy back pack . We also don’t know his genetics,he was a heavy set kid at one time at age 12 he was reported to be benching 200 pounds so steroids wouldn’t be involved he was just a genetic freak .
AJ looks absolutely pencil necked next to Mike Tyson

I don't think he does. He seems well proportioned for his build and height His neck seems wll muscled. He doesn't move too well in the ring, and in my opinion will always need to be cautious against any reasonable boxer with a big punch.
And I think that the Tyson photo has been "photoshopped" around the neck. I saw nearly all his fights and multitudes of photos and do not recall a neck like that.Last edited by edgarg; 10-27-2020, 11:56 PM.Comment

AJ has a big thick neck and Tyson has a bigger neck. So what? They don't measure both boxers necks and declare the boxer with the bigger neck the winner. They have to fight and sometimes giant necked guys get knocked out and Tyson was knocked many times. AJ wins about 90% of his fights by KO. Nothing fluffy about that. as for aJ being a bodybuilder AJ lifts heavy weights in training and so did Tyson and many others. AJ also runs, skips rope, and punches the bags and spars just like a boxer because he is a boxer and a champion boxer at that.Comment

It's hard to go from fat to muscles in a short time though possible but hardI’ve known friends that had last growth spurts at age 16 from lifting early in life .
