Imo, Eddie and Dana are going to have the same success with this "UFC model for boxing" as Haymon had with his PBC belts idea,.
He can't make them fight, but he can block them from fighting somebody else with another promoter! DAZN seems to have that power too, just ask Canelo! Do you think they don't want to fight each other, or is it just a Covid-19 casualty?

I'm super pro this concept, but idk how one guy does it unless he works with others & has a ton of cash to persuade those that don't wanna work with him.

Didn't the IBF (or another organization) try this originally? but it didn't work because boxers need to buy into it and the big names want the money that comes from 'champions' fighting 'champions.

We all want one champ per division but it will never happen unless there is an organisation with literally huge amounts of money who can promote it and get the boxers paid massive amounts.

Basically if this fails (which it probably will) we will end up with ANOTHER belt in the mix.

Yea 4 or more per division is the problem.

No denying the UFC model isn't perfect, but the boxing model is further off than the UFC model.

The NFL & MLB aren't perfect either. The goal isn't perfect. The goal is something less full of sh^t at this point & virtually everything outside the ring in boxing is full of sh^t & counterproductive to the integrity of boxing.

Please. This clown had PED cheat Whyte purposely not fight belt holder AJ to chase Wilder. Classic hypocrisy.

Lol I think he got his comeuppance for his arrogance and outright disrespect of Americans in their own country

I agree with you. The IBF seems like the only organization with some integrity left...

Problem isn't number of belts. It's that the person with the belts fights once a year , against a cherry picked 40+ year old, or an obese cruiserweight.

They need ufc style match making. Take match making out of Eddie's hands, and force the top guys to fight the top guys.

Why did he give Whyte a signed title fight contract, if he didn't want the fight?

Whyte pulled out of the aj title fight because he's a coward who knows he not got enough.
