Mungia's defense is nowhere near the level it should be to go up against even an old GGG. His face and body would get destroyed. He is too careless with is defense and is hit too easy. If he wants to test himself and prove something then so be it.

What are his streanths ? Age of 24 years. Had some time to hope to develop and work on some things since his last fight. he never impressed me so far. He has a lot of rounds now, he showed something by accident when in his last fight but was it real or just a fluke move on his part n who he was fighting ?. Being pushed around a bit he showed some strong jab work like I said the fight was not impressive to me. Did his corner see that or anything in that last fight or others that got worked on and can come out ? Fights will tell. Torch, come on start your own fire man. I am no trainer, or boxing expert just a guy who enjoys good fights I hope he has a few he has time and opportunities now with this era. WLD some good fights would do the trick.

That’s not necessarily true, one can also say Cotto lost a unanimous decision to Ali and Munguia was able to stop him with multiple knockdowns!

And while Lemieux did beat Sullivan in 1 round he’d been campaigning at 160-168 while Munguia was just going up to 160 for his first time!

Munguia can't weight bully unless he faces lower tier fighters or fighters coming up.

He gets destroyed by any top MW.

Fight commentators would spend an entire fight talking about how they can believe Munguia is still standing...

Why not? The styles will mesh, it'll be a tear up. GGG is on the slide and he's not able to put people away as easy these days.

I thought Ali took the fight on short notice and it was easy to see Munguia was much larger and bigger than Ali. Munguia and all these young early twenty year-old fighters can weight bully right now because it is easy to drop the weight but when he moves up he will find it harder and harder to out size his opponent.

You proved this point by pointing out David Lemieux. I just do not see Munguia having the same impact at 160 as he did at 154. His defense is atrocious as well. The kid gets hit way too easy.

Would be a great fight with GGG. No way GGG takes Munguia though. Way too dangerous. GGG will not take anyone above a Steve Rolls until he gets a Canelo fight.

There was a time I would disagree with you.... but now? Trip G is a man searching for easy wins. I totally agree with you, and it blows chunks.
